The Simons Center for Computational Geophysical Flows at NYU Courant has launched its new website ! The Center brings together researchers across applied mathematics, data science, and computer science to develop physics-based and advanced artificial intelligence methods for tackling fundamental challenges in ocean and atmospheric dynamics.

The Center is led by Laure Zanna, with Carlos Fernandez-Granda and Sara Shamekh among its core faculty. Its research focuses on Multiscale geophysical flows, Ocean & Atmosphere Turbulence, Extreme events, Tipping Points, and Ocean-Atmosphere-Ice Coupling.
