The influence of snow on sea ice as assessed from simulations of CESM2

Lead author Marika Holland demonstrates in this paper the importance of accurately representing snow accumulation on sea-ice in coupled earth system models. Diagnosing snow and ice thickness heterogeneity will be a crucial part of the M²LInES project.
